George Alva, MSN, APRN, FNP-C
Founder & Provider
George Alva is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) and the founder of Alva Family Practice in Odessa, Texas. With over 12 years of clinical experience—including extensive work in emergency room care—George brings unmatched skill, calmness in crisis, and genuine compassion to every patient interaction.
His healthcare journey began at Odessa College, where he earned his Associate Degree in Nursing, followed by a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Nursing from Walden University. Throughout his career, George has treated a wide range of conditions—from urgent medical emergencies to long-term primary care—and has developed a special focus on mental health, a critical need in underserved West Texas communities.
In addition to his clinical expertise, George has a powerful personal testimony. After experiencing a mysterious neurological illness that resembled Parkinson’s and ataxia—and receiving no clear answers through extensive testing—he was miraculously healed during a moment of prayer and divine encounter with the Holy Spirit. This experience transformed his life and deepened his calling: to serve, to heal, and to restore hope—through both medicine and faith.
At Alva Family Practice, George leads a practice built on personalized, affordable care. The clinic is open daily from 8 AM to 10 PM, with George personally seeing patients from 5 PM to 10 PM, serving those who can’t be seen during standard hours. Services include hormone replacement therapy, weight loss programs, sick visits, and state-of-the-art aesthetic treatments like Botox, fillers, HydraFacials, Morpheus8, and EvolveX.

Jenna Sousley
Medical Assistant
Jenna is a dedicated medical assistant and junior nursing student at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. With over 15 years of experience in the medical field, Jenna has built a career grounded in compassion, clinical excellence, and a deep commitment to patient care. She is currently an intern at Midland Memorial Hospital and has been a valued team member at Alva Family Practice for more than two years. Jenna’s professional focus lies in pediatrics, where her nurturing nature and strong clinical skills come together to provide thoughtful, high-quality care to young patients and their families. Her passion for helping others extends beyond any specific specialty—she genuinely finds fulfillment in every opportunity to care for those in need. Outside of her academic and professional life, Jenna is a devoted mother of three and a loving stepmother to three more. She enjoys traveling, reading, hiking, cooking, and kayaking, and believes in maintaining a strong balance between personal growth and professional development.

Yvette Rodriquez

Yvette Rodriguez is an experienced medical assistant with over 30 years in the healthcare field. Based in Midland, Texas-where she has lived since the seventh grade-Yvette brings a deep commitment to patient care and clinical excellence, grounded in a lifetime of service and learning. Her extensive background includes certifications and hands-on experience in medical assisting, phlebotomy, X-ray technology, and pharmacy tech. Throughout her career, Yvette has demonstrated a strong dedication to both the technical and compassionate aspects of healthcare, earning the trust of patients and colleagues alike. Originally raised in Marathon, Texas, Yvette carries a small-town work ethic combined with decades of big-picture medical experience. She is currently expanding her professional goals by exploring management courses to further enhance her leadership within the healthcare system. Outside of work, Yvette enjoys camping, relaxing by the lake or river, crafting, playing volleyball, and-most importantly-spending quality time with her family and beloved grandbabies.
Haleigh Phillips

Haleigh Phillips is a hardworking and compassionate medical assistant based in Odessa, Texas, where she was born and raised. Known for her tireless work ethic and commitment to patient care, Haleigh works both day and night shifts, ensuring she’s always there when patients need her most. Driven by a deep passion for healthcare and helping others, Haleigh is currently pursuing her goal of earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Her dream is to work in labor and delivery, where she can support and empower women during one of the most transformative moments of their lives. Outside of her busy work schedule, Haleigh enjoys running, shopping, bowling, and spending quality time with her family. She brings the same energy and dedication to her personal life that she does to her profession, making her a vibrant and well-rounded individual. With her unwavering determination and genuine love for caring for others, Haleigh is well on her way to making a lasting impact in the world of healthcare.

Sarabeth is an 18-year-old with a kind heart, a strong work ethic, and a genuine passion for helping others. Humble and hardworking, she approaches every opportunity with positivity, resilience, and a great sense of humor. Known for her compassion and dedication, she’s preparing to pursue a career as a nurse practitioner—driven by a deep desire to care for others and support her family in times of need. Eager to grow both personally and professionally, Sarabeth is excited to start college in the fall and take her first steps toward making a real difference in the world. Outside of her studies, she enjoys expressing her creativity through crafting and makeup, spending quality time with her boyfriend, and baking. With empathy at her core and a love of learning to guide her, Sarabeth is ready for whatever comes next.
